From the concept of speed is developed this home for a car lover located in a unique urbanization in Moraira. A piece based on the concept of the spiral as an element in continuous movement that generates a dynamic and continuous space.
The speed as an element that defines the spiral, a house in movement with a continuous circulation that traces the itineraries of the house suggesting the way to walk and to inhabit the house.
01_Landscape
The house is located on a flat plot surrounded by trees with sea views from the upper floor. This plot allows us to modify its topography and introduce the spiral emerging from the ground and wrapping the house.
02_Object
The spiral is created as a dynamic piece, a whirlwind that traces the itineraries of the house suggesting the way to walk and to inhabit the house. The same piece generates the interior and exterior spaces, and forms the structure of the house. Outdoor garden terraces are created to create new plant spaces on the upper floor.
03_Skin
The spiral is built with concrete both externally and internally, thus emphasizing its sculptural character. The longitudinal facades are completely open, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside. The south façade is protected from the sun and the neighbors’ views by means of movable wooden slats, avoiding the neighbors’ views and creating a more intimate space in these areas.
